Sorry, no pics today! Well I guess I haven't been very good about posting lately. We are in the throes of packing and panicking! We have arranged for the moving truck on the 26th so we have 2 weekends to most of the big stuff. I am excited to be in our new house but it will be sad to leave this house too! Every day I try to do a little bit without making it seem like we are moving out tomorrow and Gracie becomes very concerned when she sees boxes or bags with her stuff in it. She is determined to make sure this stuff all goes to the new house and into her new bedroom. We (or I rather) had decided that she would take the front bedroom which is bigger and painted a lovely dark blue with cream trim but when we went to the house last weekend she saw the baby's room which is turquoise and blue and decided immediately that it would be hers! It is a smaller room but has a nice view o the backyard and looked lovely with the light spilling in the windows. Now I am trying to figure out how to make that work for her. It's a busy time! The daycare down there which couldn't be more convenient, (it's one block away) won't be able to take her until September! Right now our plan is to keep her where she is and Paul will take her and pick her up since he has to go that way to work anyways!Things are moving and shaking in Paul's world and hopefully we will have some fun news to share soon! New Year
Jan 1, 2008
Well the parents have gone, it's sad and the tree is down, the ornaments all packed away for another year. I am excited to get everything cleaned up and start packing for our big move in 4 weeks. The last day of M and D's trip was quiet and nice complete with a quiet book with Granny, Dad as always came through by fixing a loose board for us, and Gracie today was finally coaxed into the pink skating dress Santa brought her as now we can't get it off her! We are off to spend the afternoon with four friends who have kids and relax and hang out.
week's end
Dec 30, 2007
The week has been wonderful and tomorrow we will be very sad to say goodbye to Granny Suki and Granddad Colin. Today we went to the Seattle Museum of Flight which was a highlight for granddad Colin. A tour through my old school and then a quick coffee ended the day. Yesterday's activities were lunch at a nice Mexican place in Everett, a town up north and then a few hours at the Children' Museum. I think Paul may have enjoyed it more then Gracie. The day before was hamburgers at a place downtown and a wet walk round the SAM's Olympic Sculpture Park.
Christmas Day
Dec 29, 2007
Christmas day was wonderful even if we did have to force G to open her presents and were still trying to get them opened at 4 pm that day! A snow fell which we ordered specifically for Colin and Suki's Christmas in Seattle experience!
Christmas Eve
Dec 24, 2007
Almost Christmas! Mom and Dad are stepping on the plane as I type this and soon they will arrive for the holiday festivities! Gracie is very excited and been going to bed very late! I can remember the excitement of awaiting Santa's arrival when I was that age too! Here are some pics of her watching the classic "Grinch" and mailing her wish list to Santa! Today will be spent running last minute errands and Paul will go pick up our Buche De Noel for Xmas dinner and I will clean the house. M and D arrive tonite and then we will put out the cookies and milk for Santa! Much love and Merry Christmas to all and to all a great day! Love W, P and G
Cafe Gracie
Dec 22, 2007
Well, three days to go until the big guy in the red suit arrives. It is a rainy drizzly day and P is off doing errands so G has decided to open a little cafe that sells coffee, tea and kleenex!
They are still around
Dec 19, 2007
For those of you who remember when Sammy and Paros were my only babies, yes, they are still around though starting to show their age. Paros has been living with diabetes for almost four years now and takes her twice daily shots like a pro. She has started to loose her fur/hair though and has big bare patches on her legs and belly. Another trip to the overpriced, x-ray happy, vet is imminent. Sammy is handsome as ever and is doing very well now that he takes "happy pills' everyday. The kitty Prozac has made his world very calm! He is hampered by bad arthritis in his hips as he is such a big cat, still weighing in at 19 pounds. Jumping has become difficult and he has a pronounced limp. They are loving and still going strong and so much a part of our growing family!
