nine days new

A gorgeous somewhat sunny day and P took lanelle and Gracie for his all time fav Mexican food, a trip to the Locks and flower searching! Lucy and I napped! Lucy now weighs 7 lbs and is just the calmest most zen baby around! Gracie is an amazing big sister and wonderful helper!

one week old

It's hard to believe but already little Lucy is one week old. She is wonderful and calm and perfect! We are blessed to have Lanelle here with us and she has been Gracie's playmate. They have so much fun together and Gracie is slowly learning how to accept Lucy in the family. We are enjoying having all this wonderful time together! Gracie has been amazingly helpful and loves to assist with anything that needs to be done from changing diapers, giving Lucy a bath to doing the dishes! She is such a good girl!

the big arrival

Finally! Lucy Lanelle Peyton Taylor was born on Saturday April 19th at 4:13 pm! The induction went really well and the labor was ok, a very painful start and a wonderful end! Lucy is beautiful and sweet! The entire weekend of her birth it snowed! Very rare in Seattle! Gracie is adjusting well and is vert excited all the time!

Sunny Spring saturday

ZOOO day! Yeah after a few required stops we went to the Zoo which was a perfect event for such a beautiful hot (at least in the 80's) sunny saturday. This is our last weekend (hopefully) with just Gracie so we are trying to spend the weekend doing all fun things for her. The Zoo was a lot of walking which was good for me and we all had fun looking for the elusive animals! Then we had to inaugurate the back patio with the first BBQ of the year, Paul mowed the lawn and we hung Gracie's new swing. A lovely way to spend a nice saturday waiting for a baby!

TGIF

A beautiful early spring day and when Paul called and suggested we go out to dinner on a Friday night I jumped at the chance. Gorgeous warm sunny evening so we went to our fav place in Fremont, the old haunt, the Mexican restaurant El Camino where we had yummy mussels and Carne Asada. Then we decided to take G for dessert and get her some ice cream, yummy we all had some. Walking back I made the unfortunate error of kissing the pavement. I missed a step and fell to the ground thankfully having the piece of mind to protect the belly so my knees took the brunt but except for some bad road rash all is fine!

Baby watch

Well, 10 days to go until the official due date. We are ready as ever and feeling it is time for this to be done. Gracie had her hair trimmed, but now we see it wasn't cut enough and will probably go back soon. The picture of Paul and dolly is a portrait by Gracie! The budding young photographer that she is! this week the dolly's name is Jesus and Gracie is not Gracie but her name is Mary, this is not a cry for more spirituality in her life but mere fascination with the fact that Mary had a baby and so is Mommy.
