Halloween party

Sunday was a great Halloween party at our friends' house. Gracie of course was a princess fairy or a fairy princess, not sure which! Lucy had fun watching all the kids and then we stayed for pizza after, a lovely afternoon. Today, Monday started of yucky as the three ladies of the house all went to get flu shots and vaccinations for the upcoming trip, yuck!

Skate America

We won tickets to go see Skate America up in Everett so Gracie and I went on Saturday afternoon. It was fun but the seats were high up and Gracie was tired. I was very tired having spent Friday afternoon in the ER with another bad migraine but it was fun to go see the really good skaters! Gracie was more interested in the vendors selling candy but I liked it

Freezing weekend

Oh this was an absolutely freezing weekend. We had fires in the fireplace, furnace cranked, plastic is going up on the windows and all with coughs and runny noses. But... we had a very nice weekend. Saturday was busy with getting passports, stops at home depot, trying to nap, a trip to Greenlake and home for soup and baths! Today was a gorgeous sunny fall day and we went to a friend's house for breakfast then to the Arboretum for out traditional Fall photos. then Paul took Gracie for hours of fun at REI and Lucy and I had a much deserved nap!

some more Farm pics

Yes, that is ME in the pumpkin, Gracie and I did this ride 3 times.

ok, one more

The Pumpkin Farm

A coldish, wettish, cloudy day but off we went to Remlinger Farms to pick out a pumpkin, early, I know, but who knows what the next few weekends will be like weather wise and we needed something to do outdoors after a really soggy Saturday! So have a look at the pics, we had a blast. Train rides, pumpkin ride, roller coaster rides, jumpy castle, lunch, corn maze, and so much more!

Rainy Saturday

It was a seriously yucky day yesterday! Kept us inside most of the day! Then we walked over to rent movies and today who knows what we are doing! The lovely matching hats are knit by Gale! I am clearly having a BAD hair day in these pics and I think either Gracie or Lucy or both are destined to become architects or engineers! And of course the requisite picture of a baby discovering she can eat her toes!

Gracie the dancing photographer

Gracie is such a lovely dancer! She looks so cute in her ballet leotard! Gracie took the two pics here of Lucy in the saucer! What a budding young photographer!

there is NOTHING cuter then a nakey baby!

We have cats?????

Ok, so at one point in time Samos and Paros were our babies. But then... along came Gracie and they were relegated to third class citizens in our home. Now with Lucy, I don't think there even is a class to describe how far down the ladder these poor old things are. Paros is still living with diabetes and we try to remember her shots and Samos, well I think he is still around since he basically lives under Lucy's crib since it's the only place Gracie can't reach him. Lucy has discovered that Samos is incredibly tolerant of babies and even though Lucy doesn't understand the difference between a teether and Sammy's face, he is indeed very patient. Went to the Dr. yesterday, who actually told me I had made a valiant effort to nurse as long as possible and despite being a huge advocate of breastfeeding she felt maybe it is time to "let it go". Lucy, the little devil, has now decided that a bottle is so much more fun and efficient that she has almost given up nursing completely. I am taking meds to promote lactation and trying to keep it up by pumping with a mac-daddy breast pump from the hospital and even if I can't nurse would like her to atleast get breast milk. Formula smells.... the upside of Lulu taking a bottle is that now Paul can get up and give her a bottle if she needs it and I can maybe have my first full 8 hr sleep since well before Lulu was born! Yippee, I am going to take a hot bath in our bird feeder of a tub, maybe a glass of wine, and LOCK myself in the bedroom!
