Dancer and Blitzen

Santa was kind enough to lend two of his reindeer to Swanson's Nursery so we thought we would go visit them and see how they are preparing for the big holiday season!

Poinsettias

Yesterday we took the girls to Swanson's Nursery. They have decorated it for Christmas and the poinsettias were gorgeous.

12th Anniversary

Sorry no pics today but I should have some of how snappy Paul and I looked last night all dressed up like real adults! Yup, no jammies for me and I wasn't in bed by nine pm! yesterday Paul and I celebrated 12 wonderful years of wedded bliss!We had a babysitter come and take care of the girls and we went out to a dinner that didn't involve high chairs and crayons! We went to Boca, a very fancy bar/restaurant down town. We had yummy melon Mojitos and Mussles and Frites, then I had an incredible tenderloin steak that was like butter and Paul had Cod in a broth with dumplings and bok choy! Yummy stuff then we went to Benaroya Hall to see my all time fav singer - Brandi Carlile play with the Seattle Symphony. It was incredible, a wonderful way to celebrate an anniversary and even better was to come home and find both girls snuggly tucked into their beds and the babysitter saying she would happily come back another time!

Thanksgiving

Home again, home again jiggety jog! We are back from our travels afar! The traveling was awful, I'm not flying with the girls alone until they are teenagers! Today is Thanksgiving. We went to our friends' John and Karlie for a delicious dinner and Gracie loved playing with Sebastian and Peyton. In this pics Gracie is displaying her lovely cozy blue booties knit for her by Gale. Gale knit the girls wonderful warm hats, mittens and booties, what a treat! Lucy is doing much better now that she can sit she is better entertained with little toys and books, the trick is to keep Gracie from tackling her to the floor!

halifax haircut

courtesy of Granny Suki gracie has a lovely new haircut! yesterday we spent the day in halifax admist falling snow and grey skies, trips down memory lane for me! Lucy is a full fledged sitter and I wouldn't be surprised if she just gets up and walks any minute! Friday we fly back to Seattle it will be sad to go but I am sure the grandparents are ready for some peace and quiet!

Nova Scotia

Hello from Nova Scotia! We are having a wonderful time. Very nice to spend time with Granny and Grandad! Big news is Lucy has learned to sit all on her own now! Yeah, it's a new world. We have been busy driving around, going for lots of walks on the beach and trying to sleep, watching movies and playing with the dogs!

Halloween

Ahhhh - Halloween, Gracie got so much candy I took away at least 4/5 this of it and she still has too much. Luckily she has almost forgotten about it. She had a wonderful time Trick-or-treating with our friends' Rob and Carole's kids in their neighborhood. Gracie was very good about going up to the doors and saying Happy Halloween and always saying Thank you! She had fun,we took Lucy too who was just having fun being out in the dark night and seeing all the kids! So we are off to Nova Scotia on Wednesday, I hope we have an easy time traveling, I am worried about keeping Lulu happy for that long on my lap but oh well that's just how it is!
